Kansas soybean contests for top yield achievements

Kansas soybean contests for top yield achievements

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Soybean Yield and Value Contests aim to recognize exceptional achievements by Kansas soybean farmers. These annual contests provide a unique opportunity to celebrate top producers and motivate all farmers to improve their soybean yields, as well as protein and oil content.

The Kansas Soybean Yield and Value Contests encourage Kansas farmers to explore new practices to increase yields and boost the quality of their crops. Participants share valuable insights they’ve gained during the contest, helping the Kansas farming community raise more productive and profitable soybeans.

The entries for this year’s contests are due by November 15, with results expected to be announced in mid-December.

The contests are supported by the Kansas Soybean Commission and the Kansas Soybean Association, with additional assistance from K-State Research & Extension and AGP. This collaboration ensures that the contests run smoothly and benefit Kansas soybean growers.

Additionally, No-Till on the Plains is providing special prizes to reward notable achievements in sustainable farming practices.

These contests aim not only to recognize high-performing soybean farms but also to advance Kansas agriculture by encouraging innovative practices that support productivity and sustainability.

Through the sharing of knowledge and success stories, the Kansas soybean community can work together to increase yields, improve quality, and boost profitability in the industry.
