Arkansas Corn and Sorghum Grants Announced

The Arkansas Corn & Grain Sorghum Promotion Board is accepting grant proposals for research and promotional activities to benefit the corn and sorghum industries in Arkansas. Applications are due by January 15, 2025.

Research Proposal Guidelines

Research proposals must not exceed four pages and should:

  1. Clearly state goals and objectives.
  2. Explain expected benefits to Arkansas's corn and sorghum industries.
  3. Include a budget detailing salaries, travel, and research costs (not counted in the page limit).
  4. Provide accountability measures for the requested funds.
  5. Present audited financial statements for requests exceeding $15,000.

Promotional Proposal Requirements

Promotional activity proposals should:

  • Clearly define objectives and benefits to the industries.
  • Focus on generic crop promotion, not specific entities.
  • Include budget and accountability measures.
  • Provide audited financial statements for funding over $15,000.
  • Funds cannot be used for administrative costs or duplicating other funded activities.

Submission Details

Proposals should be submitted electronically to Scott Bray at scott.bray@agriculture.arkansas.gov or mailed to 1 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205, by 5:00 p.m. on January 15, 2025.

Funding and Decision Timeline

The total amount available for research and promotional grants will be determined during the board meeting on February 3-4, 2025.
