MBA program celebrates milestone with 25,000 graduates

By Scout Nelson

The checkoff-funded Masters of Beef Advocacy (MBA) program is celebrating a significant milestone this year by reaching 25,000 graduates. This achievement comes just two years after the program hit the 20,000-graduate mark.

Launched in 2009, the MBA program is a free, self-guided online course designed to equip members of the beef community, including farmers, ranchers, students, supply chain members, and consumers, with the necessary tools and resources to advocate effectively for the beef industry.

In 2021, the program introduced MBA NextGen, updating the training modules and dividing the course into five comprehensive online lessons: beef community, raising cattle on grass, life in the feedyard, from cattle to beef, and Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.

After completing the NextGen course, graduates can further their education by enrolling in MBA Continuing Education. This advanced program offers deeper insights into beef nutrition, animal welfare, and sustainability.

Graduates have access to monthly newsletters and can join the program’s Facebook community for updates on the latest consumer trends.Anyone interested in enrolling in the program can visit www.mba.beeflearningcenter.org.

The MBA program's ongoing success underscores its importance in fostering knowledgeable and passionate advocates for the beef industry. By providing accessible and comprehensive education, the program ensures that all members of the beef community are well-prepared to represent and support the industry effectively.
