Kansas state quest program grows new leaders

By Scout Nelson

Kansas State University has welcomed 35 first-year students into the Quest Freshman Honorary, a leadership development program facilitated by Blue Key Senior Honorary. Quest aims to nurture student leaders through mentorship, personal development, and active campus engagement.

Each student selected for Quest is paired with a mentor from Blue Key, K-State’s prestigious senior leadership organization. Under Blue Key’s guidance, Quest members gain behind-the-scenes access to many aspects of the university, such as tours of K-State Athletics facilities and meals with university leaders.

The program also connects students with other campus leaders, offering service opportunities that allow them to give back to the K-State community.

Students selected for Quest represent a variety of academic disciplines, from physics and mathematics to agribusiness and leadership.

These students will participate in a series of activities and events throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, designed to equip them with the skills necessary to grow as leaders and contribute to the university.

The Quest Freshman Honorary program exemplifies K-State’s commitment to developing future leaders, ensuring students are well-prepared to make meaningful contributions to their communities during their time on campus and beyond.
