Boost soybean growth through grant proposals

The Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board is accepting grant proposals for soybean research and promotion. Proposals should outline goals, budgets, and benefits to the industry. Deadline: January 31, 2025.

Research Proposals 

Research proposals must be concise, not exceeding four pages, and include: 

  • Goals and objectives of the research.
  • Expected benefits to the Arkansas soybean industry.
  • A detailed budget covering salary, travel, direct, and research costs (excluded from the four-page limit).
  • Accountability measures for fund usage.
  • Audited financial statements for funding requests exceeding $15,000.

Promotional Activity Proposals

Promotional proposals must: 

  • Outline goals and objectives.
  • Highlight benefits to the Arkansas soybean industry.
  • Promote generic soybean use without endorsing specific entities.
  • Include budget and accountability measures.
  • Provide audited financial statements for funding requests above $15,000.
  • Funds cannot cover administrative costs or duplicate activities funded by other programs

Submission Details 

Proposals can be submitted electronically to Scott Bray at scott.bray@agriculture.arkansas.gov or by mail to 1 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.

The board will establish the funding amount for approved proposals during its meeting on March 6-7, 2025. These grants aim to advance soybean research and promotional efforts, fostering innovation and industry growth in Arkansas.
