The Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board is accepting grant proposals for soybean research and promotion. Proposals should outline goals, budgets, and benefits to the industry. Deadline: January 31, 2025.
Research Proposals
Research proposals must be concise, not exceeding four pages, and include:
- Goals and objectives of the research.
- Expected benefits to the Arkansas soybean industry.
- A detailed budget covering salary, travel, direct, and research costs (excluded from the four-page limit).
- Accountability measures for fund usage.
- Audited financial statements for funding requests exceeding $15,000.
Promotional Activity Proposals
Promotional proposals must:
- Outline goals and objectives.
- Highlight benefits to the Arkansas soybean industry.
- Promote generic soybean use without endorsing specific entities.
- Include budget and accountability measures.
- Provide audited financial statements for funding requests above $15,000.
- Funds cannot cover administrative costs or duplicate activities funded by other programs
Submission Details
Proposals can be submitted electronically to Scott Bray at scott.bray@agriculture.arkansas.gov or by mail to 1 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
The board will establish the funding amount for approved proposals during its meeting on March 6-7, 2025. These grants aim to advance soybean research and promotional efforts, fostering innovation and industry growth in Arkansas.
