Kansas corn stocks in all positions on September 1, 2022 totaled 65.6 million bushels, up 11% from 2021, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Of the total, 15.5 million bushels are stored on farms, up 48% from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 50.1 million bushels, are up 3% from last year.
Wheat stored in all positions totaled 306 million bushels, down 25% from a year ago. On-farm stocks of 30.5 million bushels are up 15% from 2021 but off-farm stocks of 275 million bushels are down 27% from last year.
Sorghum stored in all positions totaled 30.7 million bushels, up 281% from 2021. On-farm stocks of 1.90 million bushels are up 459% from a year ago and off-farm stocks of 28.8 million bushels are up 273% from last year.
Soybeans stored in all positions totaled 8.97 million bushels, up 1% from last year. On-farm stocks of 1.80 million bushels are up 6% from a year ago but off-farm stocks, at 7.17 million bushels, are down 1% from 2021.
Oat stocks stored in off farm positions totaled 553,000 bushels, down 9% from a year ago.
